    Does anyone have a wiring diagram and or service info for this unit please.
    The freezer section was iced solid but all the heaters check out as okay, I am a bit curious about the defrost thermostat as when it was encased in the ice the 2 white wires were shorted together and the 2 blue ones were open but after I removed it from the ice the situation swapped round – I had assumed that one of them was a thermal fuse (especially as I couldn’t find a separate fuse anywhere) but I guess that I am wrong but would like to check.
    Due to the amount of time that it took to melt enough ice to get the back panel out I wasn’t able to uninstall it to check but does anyone know if this unit has a defrost timer on it? (If so then I expect that is what has failed).

    Hi Jem

    sorry just seen this, tend to ignor fridge problems a bit as its not my area

    looked this model up and there are 2 of them depending on commercial code

    7221046419 uses a defrost timer and a standard ranco stat wiring below

    7244646418 uses an electronic board and thermistors

    It looks like I must have managed to pop the thermal fuse with the steamer (first time that I have managed to do that) and it also confirms that it is a defrost timer unit so I will have to get one of those as well.
