ParticipantOn start the door locks, the machine fills and then no motor action. If I pause the machine and set the program to spin it won’t restart.
The door refuses to open. If I pull the green tag by the pump it still refuses to open. Pushing, flicking and fiddling with the mechanism on top of the door lock will eventually allow me to open the door.
If put on a spin the pump runs for a few minutes then the machine just sits there, no rotation.
If the program is stopped or paused, the door will not release and another program will not start until I manage to ‘fiddle’ the door open then close it first.
I started the machine and then paused it as soon as the door locked, again, it wouldn’t restart until I had opened and closed the door again.
There is no earth fault or error code.
I tried a new door lock as I had one with me but still no difference.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.January 21, 2021 at 11:38 pm #474661electrofix
Moderatorthat machine uses a 3 phoase motor and in inverter board to drive it
i would inspect this board for damage
beware this board has very high voltages on it. leave it a few hours switch off before you take it apart. even then be careful as the capacitors are charged at 300 volts

DaveI assume the inverter board is power module 11042638. I can’t see any obvious damage.
Are these boards known to give problems?January 22, 2021 at 8:46 pm #474663electrofix
Moderatorno dont give too many probs but in a damp wet cold environment when you consider this board is near the floor, condensation can set in
its the fact you had no motor and the Mosfet drivers on any of these machine can just go wrong and blow
was just looking for physical signs this had happened
still think it does sound like a board problem but you cannot tell till you swop it and thats expensive

ParticipantMy thought was a likely board fault but at about £150 I think I might have to pass on this one.
I hate doing this but it’s too much of a gamble. -
