    This knob appears to be able to select one thing at a time so how to select time and then the choice of dampness? grateful for reply.tks.

    Should have included AEG Lavatherm 500 RE about 20 years old but still going strong.

    problem here is with a machine of this age info is thin on the ground. This is a unit that pre dates their takeover by electrolux

    have you still got the owners manual for it ?

    also the model info you gave is not enough, found one 500re thats a washing machine. Would need the pnc number to tie it down

    think your dates are a bit out built around 1983
