I will be replacing the grill element on a Zanussi ZDQ995X oven soon. I am very familiar with the process, however I have a question regarding the spade connectors. I am expecting them to be seized / corroded on to the element spades, as this oven is around 16 years old. Can i just replace them using a spade connector crimper?, (I have rewired a classic car, so more than familiar with fitting these), or do they need to be soldered on.

if you do have to replace spades make sure you cut back to clean wire as if you dont they will burn off in no time

All fixed. I was surprised how easy it was to pull the tags off. 15 minute job from removing to replacing oven.
