I have a Britannia SI-10T6-SLX-S (I know it’s an older model) when I use the left hand oven to make bread and have the temp at 250 it trips the rcd, this only happens occasionally but is becoming more frequent what with lockdown baking. I have had an electrician replace the MCB and RCD and check the cables to the cooler switch and it’s all fine. Now it’s starting to do it at lower temperatures too tripping at 200 yesterday. What can the issue be?

depends on your skill but lets try simple first

dont know the cooker so you will have to help me a bit

is the left oven a fan oven ?

does it have multiple cooking selections? some ovens have a fan oven and convection oven and you can select which you want

Yes the left is a fan assisted oven with multiple settings. As for skill level I’m above average

that means there are up 2 three elements in that unit

does it trip on other oven settings

normally a fan oven uses a rear circular element and the convection oven uses a top element and another under the floor

if it only trips on the fan oven then its likely thats the faulty element, if it trips on convection setting then we would need to check further
