Hello! I’m having trouble with a 1980s Belling Compact Auto Deluxe cooker (whose precise model number has long since rubbed off).
The grill has a single ELE3995-type element and works fine at full heat, but if the regulator dial is turned down to any lower heat, the cooker trips the main RCD as soon as the grill ‘comes up to temperature’ and the thermostat kicks in.
Is this likely to be a fault with the element or the regulator?
