Hotpoint FDL 570 – Powers on but no start

Hey!

Powers on but the Start/Pause just flashes and will not begin cycle. You can press it as many times as you like but it will not change to a constant lit and start.

Any help here? I’ve taken the front off, all wires appear to be attached correctly without any issues. The actual panel itself appears to have broken slightly as when you press any buttons, the whole thing sinks backwards. This has been the case for a few months and it has continued to work – I can push it back to where it should be but as soon as you press it again, it gives up and goes back to where it was.

Any ideas?
