    Hi I have a Hotpoint BF1620, which is not draining. 1st & 2nd light (of 4 lights) flash together and the base is full off water. There is no blockage in the drain pipe, if I lower the drainage pipe to floor level the water drains out ok.
    I have replaced the drain pump with a new guenine hotpoint drain pump (identidal part number to the old pump 21013027900) but still have them same issue now i’ve fitted the new drain pump. Ran a wash cycle, the pump does not seem to come on at all, and after a while the base fills with water and then the cycle stops and the flashing lights come on.
    Anyone got any ideas what else I could try to fix it?

    I would check the wires from the timer to the pump, paying attention to where the wires come out the bottom of the door

    Regardless of whether the pump works or not the base should not fill with water, you have a leak somewhere.

    It was a broken around the bottom of the door, all fixed now. Thanks very much for the tips gents
