asking on behalf of friend who has moved into brand new build home so has not got internet access yet

gist of problem, third delivery of new hotpoint washer dryer (first delivered damaged) second believed faulty and third also

machine is causing circuit to trip constantly I believe particularly during dry cycle

machine is taking excessively long time to complete wash cycle, e.g. an approximately 50 min fast wash not complete after two hours

hotpoint engineer has called today to check over machine and friend has been told everything including new house new electric boxes are REALLY sensitive so its not the machine it’s your house wiring, and various other interesting explanations

    apparently nothing wrong with machine

sensible explanations please as to why would a machine take longer than expected and why machine would repeteadly cause circuit to trip

friend keen to get this sorted out as havign trouble getting washing done and also machine less than week old and probably looking to go for return refund and buy another brand or model of machine (also has been persuaded now that she has had one that she would prefer separate washer and dryer)

    Re: faulty machine??

What machine are we actually talking about? I think I’ve managed to deduce that it’s a washer dryer (bit of a pig in a poke to start with) – please supply make and preferably model number. Then we’ve got a starting point for a discussion.
