Whirlpool FSCR12430 is showing ‘Call Service F20’ just after it begins the program – hear the door lock, pause, then the message comes up and it stops.

I’ve unplugged it for a few minutes, same happens. Whirlpool site doesnt list this F20 error code and I can’t find any reset/reboot sequence or anything similar (Even after unplugging for some time it shows the same wash settings when powered up again)

I read somewhere, perhaps in Whitegoods shop, that it might be a main control board issue – does anyone have any idea how to diagnose more accurately before I start spending money ?

    Thanks

could be a heater failure. Either open circuit or has an earth leakage fault

Dave – you were correct. It was a failed heater element. Strange that it didn’t pop the F08 code which is more heater specific – but the engineer found it and sorted it in no time. Everyone happy.
