    Hi All

    I have a Siemens iq300 8kg washing machine (2014)

Recently the machine wouldn’t drain so I cleaned the filter (matted hair and bobby pin)

All seemed well but now the machine is throwing up e18 code during spin or end of cycle. It has now started leaking from front too.

Going to check filter again when I have time but any ideas what else causes this issue , hoping something has come off or filter wasn’t in proper.

    thanks in advance for responding

Based on no other blockages and do not overlook the the outlet pipe`s nozzle to sink end connection area ( if plumbed out that way ). Common problem is side shake of the impellor due to the pump`s bearing being worn out = sometimes the pump will work sometimes it won`t until finally it won`t at all !

if all is clear you can check the sump hose as it leaves the drum, had lots of blockages there

    Cheers andy & dave

Sadly I’m away now so will cough up the £50 quoted to sort it , doubt its pump but I could be wrong , I’ll update you guys soon as engineer fixes it.

    thanks again

All solved guys , Tennat had overtightened filter to the point it was mangled , new filter sorted the issue no leaks , felt annoyed having to pay for such a minor fault due to user error but I’ve learned a valuable lesson, if you want something done do it yourself 🙂 hopefully I’ll get a few more years use to soften the blow and future issues relating to blockages won’t be covered by me that’s for sure , thanks for your prompt responses as always.
