    Hi All,

    I have a Beko WDIX8543100 washer/dryer that’s developed a problem with the dry cycle.

During the dry cycle the pump isn’t starting quick enough to drain the condensate water away before it reaches the level of the internal drum. The pump starts when there is about 2cm of water in the bottom of the inner drum. This is repeated for every fill pump out cycle.

At the end of the cycle everything is dripping wet and hot. The problem was at first intermittent but now happens every time on both of the drying programs.
Interestingly all other functions of the machine work perfectly. It doesn’t appear to be over filling on any of the other programs.

    So far I have tried:

    • Checked drain hose for blockages
    • Sump hose and pump removed and checked for obstructions
    • Condensate chamber removed and cleaned
    • Water level pressure hose checked
    • Checked for continuity on the pressure sensor loom, between the PCB and sensor.
    • Checked the drum end of the pressure sensor for blockages
    • Fitted new Water level pressure sensor
    • Fitted new Main PCB

I managed to track down the service manual and have run through the test procedure but everything checks out fine, with no error codes recorded at all.
The service manual also mentions a flow meter, but my variation of this model doesn’t have one fitted.

Even after replacing the main PCB the exact same fault still occurred while drying.
At this point I’m stumped as to what could be causing the issue. Can anyone offer any advice?

Hopefully i’m just missing something glaringly obvious.

    Cheers!
    Matt

So this thing of yours has had a new pcb and a new pressure switch. Maybe you could check the 3 way water valve. Notice via a picture that one of the nozzles has a blue water restrictor inserted…maybe that has come out and is somewhere caught in its hose though still acting in some way as a obstruction to the in coming condensing water . This would give you excess water in the machine during the drying cycle before the timed/pulse pump mode switches on and so the out come as soggy hot clothes. In other words rather than a pump out problem it could be a fill problem. Can`t really see what else it could really be if on wash cycle it all works ok, so have a look at the valve should be 3 nozzles of which only one – the dryer part of the valve – has a restrictor fitted.

Thanks! I think you might be on to something there.
I have pulled the pipe that runs from the three way valve to the condensate chamber and I can’t see anything obvious. The none return valve in the pipe is still working and I can see the blue insert in the end of the valve outlet still.
That said, if I only crack the main isolating valve open to limit the flow to the machine then the dry cycle works perfectly.
Come to think of it I can hear the water filling during the dry cycle which I never used to be able to when the machine was working properly.

I have ordered a new three-way valve and condensate pipe and will update once I have them fitted.
