ParticipantHi,
I have a Zanussi ZCI66250BA induction oven that has a problem with the grill cutting out. For example yesterday, we cooked bacon on it OK then 5-10 mins later we put some sausages on which take a little longer. After i’m not sure, say 5 mins the grill cuts out, turn it off wait 2-3 mins it restarts, rinse and repeat until cooking finished. Oven and hobs carry on working during this ‘cool down’, rear vents aren’t blocked.
I’m assuming this is the overheat thermostat playing up and I notice these are available on the Zanussi shop. My questions are: Is my diagnosis likely accurate? If so are these easily user replaceable? (I worked in an electronics lab for a while) And which one do I need? There are a couple in the shop so I assume one is oven, one is grill and interestingly one is listed as a replacement for an older part so maybe a duff design?
On a side note for anyone reading this, freestanding induction cookers are great but having them all integrated into one unit is pointless as you can’t push enough power through to use everything at once. Having both ovens on and then trying to use the hobs involves more power level juggling than most clowns can handle.

ParticipantDoes it have one in the grill, where would I look for it? There was a gentle hum when I turned it on just now but not what I would call fan noise.

this is what it look like
you should feel air coming out over the grill door when the unit is on and for while after use to cool things down

ParticipantA bit of a delayed reply but yesterday I was using the grill and yes there was a noticeable push of air from above the grill door. Oven was on 150ish, 2 hobs on 5/6 and grill cut out, turned off for 2-3 mins and it finished off OK.
One thing, whilst looking at the manual I see it says grill with the door shut which we don’t (a hangover from our previous gas grill which safety cut out with the door shut). That couldn’t be tripping it, could it?
