    Hello!

I have bit of a strange one – my AEG dryer will randomly cut-out mid cycle with no obvious pattern as to when. Sometimes it will do it after 5min, other times after 20-30min. Typically it will loose power for a few seconds and come back on waiting for me to resume the cycle.

Some other times, it just goes completely dead – I have to remove switch off at the wall and on again for it to come back to life (and to let me resume the cycle). However more recently, it will stay “dead” (even after switching on/off at the wall) for about 20-30mins, but will come back to life after that period and let me resume a load.

There’s no error codes logged on the service menu.

I initially thought the socket was playing up, so used my washing machine one (which is fine) and it did the same. I then suspected the mainboard and re-programmed another (I had a USBDM to hand) using the dump from the old one – and the problem is still there.

Anyone ever seen something similar? Little lost, any suggestions would be appreciated!

have you checked for power at the board after the machine goes off ?
