ParticipantHaving replaced plenty of carbon brushes on these motors in the past , I`ve never before had the thermal cut out in the motor end frame go open circuit but I have now. 🙁
The motor tests ok and the armature cleaned up nice with a comm stick.
Bosch website only gives complete motor as spare but I`m assuming there is an end frame available for this motor.Part number please .Don`t suppose the plastic holder inside the end frame (which houses the cut out) is available seperately. 💡
Thanks
Bryan

There doesn’t appear to be one for this motor, not from the usual sources anyway, I’ve checked, Connect, Washvac, Qualtex, Maddocks and SEME none of them list one.
BSH-MAN or boro may be able to advise hopefully 😀
Dave.

If you have the space it’s worth hanging onto a few knackered motors to rob such bits when you need them. I’ve always done this for TOCs, tacho coils and magnets etc.

Yep, same price to me, Washvac’s a bit cheaper at £111 (if you can find their site )
Qualtex £108 if you want one, let me know 😀

Sorry but the rear end isn’t available for that motor, brush set only I’m affraid.
As Phidom said the only alternative to a new motor would be to butcher an old one 🙁
Can’t say I’ve ever had cause to change thermals on a motor,as we would replace whole motor for a fault like that.

It’s a good model and, if in good nick, is worth a new motor.
The end frame changes gave way to just brush change about the time of this appliance entering the market.June 5, 2005 at 8:31 pm #136861Bryan

The end frame off the earlier motor will fit this motor, part number 096331, listed at £57.28 on http://www.bshappliancecare.co.uk, end frame includes new brushes.
