Hi, firstly I understand DD in the UK went bust and an Irish company (KAL?) took over, but I wonder if you can shed any light on a problem I have. We’ve had the oven about 3 years so it will be out of warranty. We’ve had no problems before with it and in general its been a good oven. We bought it as we were looking for an oven with rottisserie and pyroclean cycle, and could only find this make.
    So the problem:
The oven is completely dead, I’m presuming there is power to the oven as the cooker box shows a red light on and no fuses have tripped. The animated display is completly blank. I did remove the lid and see a PCB behind it. A couple of times, when the oven was switched on but not in use and therefore cold, we would hear a click, the display (which defaults to the clock time when not in use) would ‘lose’ the time and immeadiatly come back on as 0:00 as though something had reset. It did this today, but the display didn’t come back and the whole oven unit is now dead. I’m wondering if the circuit board controlling this display has gone and maybe needs repacing, but basically I’m guessing and haven’t a clue. Does anyone have any thoughts? Or is it new oven time? Ironically every time an appliance has died, we’ve replaced it with a Miele one and never looked back!
    Cheers,

    Rob.

have no tech on these so dont know the circuit

first thing to do is trace the wires to make sure there is no thermal cutouts that have blow, burnt out wires or the like
