Hi,
I have an issue with my Beko fridge freezer , model ASDM241PX. The circulating fan in the freezer is not running, causing the compartment to not freeze sufficiently. I’ve bench tested the fan with a 12v supply ands it runs ok. I’ve had a meter on the fan socket in the freezer compartment and there doesn’t appear to be any call for the fan to run – this is whilst the compressor is running. The evaporator is cooling as expected. There was only a bit of ice build up on the evaporator due to the lack of circulation, but this melted away before testing.
Another strange occurrence is that the door open alarm sometimes sounds at random, even though the doors are firmly shut and sealed ok. The alarm doesn’t flash on the front display, just makes the sound. This cancels as normal on pressing the alarm off button.
If there is anyone who could perhaps point me in the correct direction of where to look next or to any other similar posts that may help.

Spot on with the diagnosis ! The reed switch built in to the plastic hinge shroud on the freezer compartment door was not making 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the time – I think the shroud had moved / got knocked etc and the distance between the switch and magnet was too great.
A slight adjustment has cured this and now all is well. Of course, the circulation fan switches off when the door is open – this didn’t even enter my head until you mentioned the switches and obviously explains the random door alarm sounding.Many thanks for taking the time to respond and fixing my issue.
