Help determining the manufacture year would be greatly appreciated.
well it cant be 2017
my first thought is some of these dryers were recalled for a fire risk

At the link you provided, I’m asked if the product was manufactured before or after September 2015 to determine if a recall is necessary.
Year of purchase
Dryers manufactured after September 2015 are not affected by this issue.If you purchased your dryer brand new after January 1st 2016 then your dryer is not affected by this issue and no further action is required. Your dryer already contains the modification that has been verified by the UK regulator to improve its safety and performance.

if you have it wrong they will pick that up with the model and serial
check for the green dot both inside the door and round the back. its a circular green sticker about 10mm across

and i have heard one of the options is a new dryer but cant promiseDave
I contacted them yesterday. The representative said he can’t assist me unless I provide him the year. I asked if he can determine the year from the model and serial number and he said no.
How do I determine the year using the model and serial number?

its not up to you to prove the date on a faulty , dangerous product they will know the date down to the day it was built and poss down to the hour
If they do that again contact their customer relations dept.
even a clear picture of the inside rear of the drum and i can tell you in seconds if it needs modifying

I contacted them again and spoke with a different representative. She said the year is 2007/2017 (which I already knew) but doesn’t know which one and that I have to contact the seller to find out.

any drier made after jan 16 had a rivet fitted at the back of drum (see pic)
if your dryer does not have the rivet its made before 2016 so must be 2007

Here is a picture from the inside of my dryer’s drum. It doesn’t appear to have a rivet as located in the picture you’ve provided me.

in that case it has to be made before 2016 as all dryers after that have it fitted
if the only dates on offer are 2007 or 17 yours must be 2007
