Hi everyone. It’s been ages since I was last here. Hope you are all keeping well. I wonder if someone could help with a problem that my daughter has with her Bosch Condensor dryer WTW863S1GB/24 Type WDT65 FD 9703. It’s only a few years old.
The clothes are coming out smelling rank. A sort of acrid chemical smell. She has cleaned out the water drawer with hot water and detergent and cleaned and scrubbed the lint filter which were yukky and wiped away as much mould as she can reach. It says it is self cleaning. Is there anything else she needs to do ? A Youtube video shows someone removing a condensor ? but she can’t see that the lower front panel comes off plus it is not in the manual section on cleaning to do this .Any advice on why she has this smell in the machine would be appreciated. Also how to get rid of it. Thanks in advance.

have a look down where the filter comes out and see if you can see the condenser.

it sounds like you have damp lint which gets smelly if left because the automatic cleaning is not working.
