    Have a hotpoint ctd80 condenser dryer, water is not emptying, it’s filling up where the pump/float is but not emptying, then water is going back in and splashing onto heater causing short, replaced pump but water not emptying, any ideas

    are the hoses blocked ?

    is it blocked into the pump, there is a channel from the back of the condenser to the pump chamber. Had lots of them blocked

    The water if filling the pump chamber so it’s getting there
    hoses seem ok, have washed them out

    not got a lot of info on this due to age but it seems to be contolled by a circuit board
    find board and remove and replace all the plugs in case of bad connection.

    did you blow up the pump outlet pipe in case its blocked at the top
    have you checked the new pump. dont often get it but faulty new stuff does occur
