Hope someone out there can help..I have a 4 year old Zanussi ZT-685 this morning it decided not to fill and flashed the rinse hold light…removed the machine from the cabinet..sure enough the inlet hose was badly kinked… straighten it but no avail.. voltage @ the inlet fill value but no action..so swapped out the fill value..machine fills and starts to work..great..BUt now it keeps filling and overflows through some saftey outlet cut-out in the water system (LHS under the side panel)… so I’m guessing something to do with the pneumatic cut off but what? I reconnected thepipework ok and its a brand new fill value..HELP I’m going to have to call someone out and I know it most be something simple ! tnks

    Check this for a start:

Also bear in mind that the two long transfer pipes running across the front and round to the sump clog up as well.

Power off if you are investigating yourself.

thanks for the tip but it sounds a little involved ! I think its time to call in the professionals. I guess they will replace the whole unit rather than flushing..any ballpark idea of costs ?

Most repairers will try and repair/unblock before replacing parts on the whole.

    Check Repairs@ for one 😀

Rates etc are best discussed directly to be honest as they vary a bit geographically.

well its fixed now and I’m £150 poorer…. IWMS replaced..machine ok for 2 cycles then problem comes back..engeineer did lots of head scratching made a few calls and decided that the machine needed a pressure switch kit..this appeared to be a fairly big mod some new pipework and electonioc/pneumatic switch insatlled in the RHS cavity in the machine..works like a dream..he couldn’t expain to my why it needed the kit..but the only + is he left me with the IWMS which I’ve cleaned out so I guess I have a spare !

Did I get that right? he diagnosed an IWMS, fitted & charged you, came back, fitted a valve kit, took out IWMS yet left the IWMS with you as you had paid for it.

I would have thought he should have either given you the option of keeping the IWMS in the machine, maybe with a few quid knocked off, or taken it away & refunded if he felt was not required. Surprised he got away with that one! The plus side as you say though, you do have the goods, and there is a strong chance you may need them in the future.

There again, I’m surmising as I don’t know the full story.
