Have (family) experiences of 6 Zanussi budget price machines going back to 2006, all still working perfectly on mains water supply, the latest is a 7 kg ZWF7254B4PW, purchased one month ago for €360 or ~ £305, you can probably get a 8 kg for a few quid more.
You have been unlucky, I admit I am not a fan of the Korean brands like Samsung and LG they promise the earth but don’t deliver. Neither brand supports the independent channel but instead choose to go out through the volume sellers like Currys, JLP and others. Couple that with with long winded spares availability and very little service info available doesn’t paint a pretty picture.
So You latterley paid £700 for the LG you could have bought a Miele for that which are still regarded as being the best of what is currently out there. The WEA025 is a good example. There is always a down side for whatever you buy and Miele is no different they currently share very little info and spares can be more expensive than most. But they are still the best 🙂
