Had quite a few of these and I recently found out a diode is responsible. However I have always replaced boards, but with some difficulty due to supply. They are frequently out of stock (with Connect) and when they do finally arrive they frequently appear to be washer main boards and not washer dryer. The main visible difference as far as I can tell, is that the washer dryer PCB has four relays in a row (RL4, RL5, RL2,RL3), whereas (what I assume to be) the washer PCB has gaps where two of these relays are. I have previously returned boards with the missing relays and have received the four relay one when re-ordering. But am I mistaken? Are the boards I’m receiving actually a redesigned washer dryer board? I don’t really fancy fitting one on the off chance that it might work as I strongly suspect it wouldn’t. NB. Currently stuck with two boards that Connect will not accept as returns. Hope this isn’t too rambling a post, and thanks in anticipation of help. Derek
problem as always is the boards may look similar but sofware chages
we can always get you the correct part no. if you know the model of the ones the boards you have were supplied for we can check part no
connect makes mistakes and if they have you have a better case for return

Thanks very much for your offer of help. I had two different boards supplied by Connect:
1. On the basis of a PNE – BEK2437301301
2. By searching against model number – BEK2437301300This morning I fitted number 2., and I was relieved to find that the machine worked fine on all functions inc dryer. I couldn’t be bothered to try number 1. (too hot and working in a cramped utility) so that’s for an other time. FYI I recently found a forum thread suggesting that the old design board fails due to diode D7, and that it is repairable by replacing with diode Schottky THT 100V 2A. They’re available on Ebay for about a fiver for eight.
