    Hi,

I wondered if anyone could offer any advice on my dryer.

Its a Candy Grand Vita Condenser dryer.

When using i choose the cycle and press start which is fine – around 15 mins in to the cycle the dryer beeps 3 times and stops. No lights flash just the time which shows its paused. After around 10 mins you can press start and it works again. But then again around 15 mins later it beeps and stops.

There is heat coming out, filters all clean, water tank empty.

However if the time gets down to 30 mins on the cycle (mix&dry for example) and i then over ride this and choose to just press the duration button and set for 30mins it will work the whole 30mins.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    TIA

    Hi,

No – nothing flashes up or stays on. It literally beeps 3 times and then the time flashes like it’s on pause. If you press start straight away it wont work but if you let it sit for 5/10mins it starts again when pressed.

But does this around every 15mins through a full cycle.

I wondered if it was over heating?

are you sure the condenser is clear as they can be a pig to clean properly .

I shine a torch at one end and then look down it. You should see plenty of light coming through the gaps

    Hi,

So i tried this. Took the condenser out and it was clear however i washed this out anyway.

Tried again with some bedding and it did the same again.

Any other ideas i could try or what it could be?

    TIA

some dryers have timed cycles rather than automatic try one

am trying to figure out if it thinks the clothes are dry

    Hi,

So i set it going and chose the longest timed setting. It started at 110mins and got to 41mins before it stopped.

However throughout this time it beeps periodically – no lights flash. Just one beep. Then all of a sudden it beeped 3 times and stopped.

dont know what to suggest now

timed drying can use half heat so it could be a heat based thing, could also be an air leak in the case letting moist air out

plus it could be a component failure

this weather you could run it with the condenser out. that way the warm air will vent into your kitchen but since we have warm weather the moisure will just go out the open doors. drys a lot quicker that way as well

you need to think if you want to get a repair person out or replace it as it gets technical from here and depends on your skill level

    Morning,

    Thank you for your reply.

Quick update. I used the dryer without the condenser unit in. On 2 different settings and it worked. Never beeped and never stopped.

Would this point to me having to get another condenser unit?

no the condensor umit is only a metal channel. provided its clear its ok. What you have now is it cant get too hot and if the dampness is getting in the case it now cant
