Hi, if anyone could help I’d be very grateful:-) I’ve come to a dead end trying to fix my machine.
The machine was spinning and all of a sudden come to an abrupt stop. The drum is not resisting to turn, not freely as it was.
I removed the back panel and have noticed that when I disconnect the red wired plug to the pump, the drum turns easily. I plug it back in and it’s resistant again. Very strange, as there is no power to the machine (unplugged). If anyone could help as to what could be the issue I’d really appreciate it. Thanks

if the drum is hard to turn it can be one of 3 things

    motor failure
    drum failure
or something stuck between the 2 drums

take the belt off to prove its the motor or not

Thanks Dave, yes I removed the belt and both the motor and drum turn freely. However as soon as I plug the red wire back in, it resists again (unplugged and no power to machine). Any ideas?

its not unusual that. the motor is acting like a generator with a load on it. Its normal for that motor

what is the actual fault. In other words what does or does not happen when you run a programme ?

Thanks Dave, just found that it’s called a ProSmart inverter which is brushless apparently. Think it might be a bit too technical for me in that case

    it is indeed brushless
they use electronics to produce a variable frequency 3 phase supply to the motor
