    Hi all, any info on these downdraft fans? Got one that works,but it doesn’t fully close,it gets to last inch then goes back up. Is it worth a look? Or just walk away:o

    I have no info but 2 things spring to mind

    1 there will be limit switches to determine where it stops and starts
    2 there may be a sytem that detects if things get caught and reverses the direction before harm is done. it could just be tight and need lubrication

    spot on dave, i took it apart,bit of lube now going up and down like a vicars b……….
