ParticipantI appreciate that in the world we live in we get what we pay for in most cases. Can you guys recommend the more relaible makes / models here ? with performance / cost / Reliability included.
For example does the BAUMATIC BDW13 FULLY INT ABB for £223.55 look like a bargain?
Hope you can help.

Hi Debbie
For a fully integrated 12 place dishwasher at that price!!! Your`e not going to get an appliance that is going to last and last. I wonder how quiet this machine is and how well it is built. So yes while it looks like a bargain on the surface the old saying goes ” you get what you pay for” still applies 😉 .
Have a look at a Bosch SGV53E03GB this will cost more but it is a very quiet 52db AAA rated dishwasher of a good build and comes with a two year warranty. Nationwide service cover just a phone call away.
AEG F35080Vi another good machine AAB rated weel made with one year warranty and again nationwide service a phone call away.

Hi Debbie,
It depends which Baumatic machine it is.
If it has an LED delay timer, then it’s a very good machine and one that they source from China.

I cannot agree with Greaseaters comments. A Forum Search under Haier, CDA and Kenwood makes for interesting reading………
Take Dons advice, he knows his stuff. There is no such thing as a free lunch….. Pass the fish.

I’d have to side with Penguin here as I’ve yet to see a production machine out of China that was any good in all honesty. Yes, the Chinese can make good stuff, but the price goes up accordingly and it depends where it was sourced from and the brief given on the product. So if the price goes up it then becomes on a par with the major known brands.
Thus far almost every single Chinese dishwasher I’ve seen fail has had a boomerang effect, they always seem to come back albeit some sooner, some later. Customers complain of a poor basket layout, poor clips on the top baskets, shoddy build quality, noise, poor wash results and a whole host of other things. one of the lovely ones I think is just brilliant is that on some of them you open the door mid-cycle and the water overflows into the base blowing the motor, cracking bit of design.
And then you have to try to get parts for them which, from Baumatic based on their track record, isn’t the easiest of tasks at the best of times.
Then we have, in refrigeration, the hinges that bend if you look at them the wrong way and in washers the parts that have a twelve month lead time…
Spend the extra and get a decent machine, even the Zanussi’s and Whirpool’s are way better than the Chinese stuff I’ve seen so far.
