Anyone know what Qualtex minimum spend is to keep account running?

Yes, was told yesterday their minimum spend is now £3.5k a year

I received an email from them just the other day with a Customer Statement. Seeing as they closed my account last year for not reaching their minimum spend (which was then £5k a year), I was surprised and a bit annoyed that they still had my details. Surely it’s a GDPR breach…
Anyway, I told them to delete them unless they were happy for me to start ordering from them again. I live a mile away, so it would be much better for me and the environment than flying my spares from France (ASWO). But sadly the new minimum spend is still too high for me 🙁

So wonder if that’s broken down to a monthly total? What happens if after a year you haven’t met the £3500? Strange way of keeping a loyal customer base!

Think it’s broken down by quarters. See this interesting discussion in the General Trade Forum:
    https://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/forums/forum/trade-member-forums/trade-forums/general-trade-forum/872386-qualtex-customer-service-poor-or-terrible

Basically they’re no longer interested in the individual repairperson

Reviving this thread. Anyone who had their accounts closed down due to not spending enough received an email lately inviting you to start using your account again?

well hope things are changing as that policy did not seem to make sense. I still love qualtex and they are often cheaper, but with Aswo and now Connect is part of Screwfix I assume they may be getting squeezed. Some of their prices were getting a bit high but fair play to them, once i contacted them, this was adjusted
I still like qualtex as its the only one showing correct part numbers The little box on each parts page can be used for personal notes, retail prices or stock locations. I find this invaluable and dont know why they dont expand this as a sevice to promote loyalty

So I enquired if there still was a minimum annual spend to keep your account, and there is not (at least not currently).
    Free carriage from £75
    Otherwise £4.49 delivery (+VAT I presume)

I might give them another go, although would prefer to collect. Seems silly to have parts stocked 1 mile down the road taken to a courier’s depot miles away, only to be delivered to my house nearly where they started. However, don’t think it will be possible as they did away with their trade counter. Having said that, it’s maybe better than having the parts delivered all the way from France (ASWO, which I use most of the time).

The two points that I’m not liking much about this are:
I had asked them to remove my details from their system back in 2021, looks like they ignored that request.
Not sure I’d want to do business again with a company that turned its back on the small independent appliance engineers. They can easily do that again. ASWO, on the other hand, have been exemplary.
