    Hello all,

Wondering if we have another common diode failure on Beko boards.
Machine WTG941B1B filling ok, then spinning fast (too fast) for 3s then sitting there not doing anything. Minutes not counting down on the display.
Checked tacho coil, all fine as far as I can see.
On inspection of PCB, found D11 diode to be bad (conducting both ways instead of one way). Unfortunately customer didn’t let me take the board home and I was unable to see what sort of diode it is. See following couple of photos:

Also I could not get a reading off the two resistors pictured here, but not sure if that’s a concern:

Could it be just that dodgy diode? And if so, any electronics wizard would know what to replace it with?

have you checked tacho magnet as it sounds like a motor feedback problem or the motor triac on the board ( had a few of these go )

With my limited knowledge I couldn’t find a triac on the board… can you see one on the photos?
The tacho magnet seemed fine, it didn’t look cracked. When I turned the resistance on the tacho pins was fluctuating, which I took to mean it was fine.

its on the heatsink on the edge of one of your photos

Oh blimey, I would never have thought to look there! Thanks Dave, something to think about next time I come across this fault
