    PNC 91153901206/serial 01579946.

    Long story but:
Fitted a new integrated WM. Tentants said I’ve killed the DW as it was working.
I did a quick check of power supply just to confrim it’s nothing to do with me. Power to the board and in/out of the switch.
The board looks okay – no obvius blown or dead compoments. Neglible heat marks.
    Doesn’t turn on.

The agents have reluctanly agreed it wasn’t my fault especially as the TT only uses the DW every 3-5 days and they want me to go back and diagnose it now. Just bad timing as it could have died at any time I guess.

Now, it’s some distance so I want to go back fully armed. I haven’t checked the wiring loom ! I wasn’t being paid etc.

Now there were 3 wires to the mains plug on the board. L-N and a 3rd… does that 3rd one go down to a component and back up? I’m thinking broken wire in the loom or board…..

Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated? Let me tell you, I loath integrated appliances – and even more integrated appliances that are too miles away!!

since the timer is in the door you can do it all from there. open the timer and check things below

    Dave

4 main connecters. left to right, Heater, Neutral, neutral, live

you can check live and neutral to switch ( yellow arrow)

if you get continuity from plug to switch check switch is working and if ok check fusible resistor ( red arrow) if it gives a reading under 100 ohms its ok

if the fusible resistor has gone then its likely the power chip ( blue arrow). Have done a few, did same job on same timer last week, changed chip and resistor and its going again

    Thanks electrofix

You’ve helped me out a few times with Elux group products over the last few years.
I’m there tomorrow so I’ll check that all out. I owe you a few virtual pint…or real ones actually 🙂
