    Ian, perhaps it best you contact your Ford dealer and advise them of your colleagues burnt out Transit and enquire, for your own peace of mind that is, if this is a known issue?:wink:

    Just heard today a Hotpoint Franchise with a new Transit Compact went the same after 8 weeks burnt to a crisp seems it was a wiring fault at the back on his, think Ford should be doing more and recalling the lot of them before anybody gets killed, i was thinking they looked a nice van and a couple of years i might get one but i’m sticking to my V/W’S after hearing this.
