ParticipantMy AEG Favorit 86070 is beeping 3 times and displaying i30.
I understand this is the leak prevention system and have read loads of stuff online about water in the bottom tray and the polystyrene float that then activates a microswitch.
The problem is, I have taken the back off and looked and there is no water in the tray at all. The polystyrene float is down and the microswitch is not activated.
But still it constantly goes into i30 and the drain pump runs (and from what I can tell it is actually draining out).
Is there anything else that could cause this fault?
Thanks.

there is a service bulletin on this machine that shows the pressure chamber that is a rubber pipe at the front of the machine can sag and give this error

Dave,
Thanks for that – I’ll take a look later – is it basically a case of using a cable tie to lift the black hose up?
Does it give any info about how it detects that scenario – is there a sensor somewhere?

the hose leads to a pressure sensor that detects water height

I’ve looked and the hose doesn’t appear to be sagging 🙁
Wondering what else it could be.
Saw this thread
favorit-88070-error-code-water-inlet-solenoid-fault-t78636.html
which I think you posted in.Could it be the solenoid in the hose? Where can I put a multimeter on it to check resistance? Can I do it without removing it from the machine?
2.7m hose on AEG site is £76!!

Does base trough refer to the “tray” underneath where the float polystyrene bit is?
Because if so that bit is dry, so the only thing it’s suggesting is inlet valve. Is that the solenoid in the hose as mentioned earlier?

yes
to test it you would need to get at the connection to the valve, disconnect them and measure the coil resistance

I’ve just lifted the inlet hose out.
Now if I get my multimeter, set it to resistance and put the probes on the small metal clips on the end of the blue and brown wires…..it doesn’t register anything. Does that mean the solenoid is faulty? The other thread implied there should be 3.7k resistance? Assuming I’m measuring right?August 10, 2018 at 11:02 pm #457230electrofix

anywhere from 3000 to 5000 ohms is ok
check your meter is on correct scale

If I up my meter to 20MegOhm I sometimes get something but to me that seems far too high.

Would this be the right replacement part?
https://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/d449001 … hose-valveSomewhat cheaper than the genuine AEG one.
Should it be easy to fit (the end that connects into the dishwasher, looks like there is a metal clip that goes over where the inner hose attaches on, from what I can see)?
(don’t want to inadvertently introduce a leak!!)

i cannot be 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} certain as there are 9 machines with the same model. i would need your complete pnc number to check
the one i looked up is
FAV86070VI PNC 911235143 00from the manuals there are 3 hoses
111 57 65-00 / 8 1.8M111 57 65-10 / 7 2.7M
111 57 65-20 / 6 4.0M
the hose you have linked to is a match for the 1.8M one
