    Hi All,
I’m glad to have found this thread. I suspected that my AEG T86581IH3 drier’s EH0 problem doesn’t come from the power line or elsewhere, and it needs a closer look on the main board, but you guys confirmed that suspicion. Same error and symptoms as described before me: First cycle usually running well, second cycle stopped somewhere in the middle with EH0 error.

The root cause of the cracked joints on the relay driver side goes back to the “smart” people whom have invented and imposed the lead-free soldering. It is a well-known fact that no matter how hard the manufacturer and technology providers are trying, it’s still more brittle and prone to fatigue, than the ones with the slightest content of lead (3-4{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}).

I suspect that the issue is seen only at the driver pair of legs of the relays due to them being the only “moving” components on the board. The other smaller Omron relay has also started to show signs of fatigue around the driver legs, so I suggest if you must open your machine due to the cracked joints, do yourselves a favor and touch-up the other relay’s legs too.

I ran a quick check of the rest of the board, but didn’t really find any other soldering issues. Too bad that I’m not allowed to upload some of the nicest pictures of the cracks…:-(

Many thanks for the fix, whoever came up with it first.

I had high hopes for repairing my dryer, after I spotted a damaged solder contact. But unfortunately it didn’t fix the problem.

It was one of the long metal wires, seen on sigurdur’s picture, on bottom edge and right of centre.

My question is, if I ordered a Not Configured Electronic EDR1 direct from AEG, then how you do configure it?

I have not added anything in those solderings, just melted a bit the cracked ones. Error EHO from my Electrolux dryer has gone. Thank you very much.

Hi – looks like my machine has developed the same EH0 fault. Have turned off and tried to turn back on, but no joy. The machine had been giving the EH0 error for a couple
of months now, but switching off power and restarting seemed to have worked. So will be looking to see if I can check the circuit board as suggested. Question – do you just solder over the existing problematic contacts or remove old solder and then resolder?

I would think a simple reflow would work but if the cracks are bad you could re-inforce with 15a fuse wire

Thanks to the people having post a fix to that issue. My electrolux dryer was stuck with error code EH0 since a while after having worked randomly for the last few months. I was near to purchase a new one… but I found this thread. So I disassembled the dryer to access to the power board (not that hard), unplugged the power board wires (after having took a photo to be sure to plug them correctly afterward) and checked for the solders behind the “omron” relay. And indeed they seemed a bit crackled. So I solder them again, plugged everything and tada… ! Victory ! !! The dryer is working (we’ll see for how long…). Anyway, ~400€ saved :D. Thanks again guys.

I had a go at melting the large solder joints on back, in case any micro cracks. Error message has turned from EH0 to EHE now. Is that an improvement and helps narrows down where to concentrate on next?

    still a line safe fault

its either still a solder problem or you need a new board
