Does anyone know how best to create a controlled explosion that would blow an appliance apart using household stuff that we can get at the supermarket or a DIY store?
Of course this is therapeutic in intent.

just put it on a wash programme, thats usually enough…

Well Mal there is Baumatic, Caple, CDA, Diplomat, Rangemaster, Kenwood, Matsui, Teka, Beko, Belling, New World, MWD, Waterline etc etc…….
The mark up on these machines is phenomenal for these Companies even with a failure rate in excess of 60{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}, when I worked for MFI it was over 70{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} failure rate, it makes no difference if it’s Haier or Midea they are both crap.
Just looked at my list of in warranty repairs and out of 12 jobs 7 of them are Chinese dishwashers, I won’t repair them out of warranty as I value my PL insurance too much, they are great at washing the floor more than dishes, and I cannot guarantee any repairs won’t fail in 12 months due to inferior parts.

I can have a word with UKW member Musket if you wish – he has a Cat 3 explosives licence and has been featured on Scrapheap Challenge several times. Not bad for my ex-apprentice.
Often wondered how they got the penguin to fly 😉

Haier cannot control the intergration of there appliances, so not an issue, if any intergration isn’t done correct its not difficult to spot and explain to client before removal.
80{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of my day is intergrated, I have no issue.
Like as stated it would be easier to list the companies not made by Haier, you may well have worked on many without knowing.
If not the complete machine many components are shared.
As for Beko they are utter rubbish, yet there on course to be the largest group in Europe within the next few yrs on all sectors, I believe there refrigeration is the currently the market leader with around 56{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} European Fridges sold.
I did step back in time today and repaired an English Electric (Hotpoint 95 Series) washer with worn brushes, that stretched my skill levels, take me days to recover from that trauma.
