I know it’s said elsewhere, but guys, thanks to those that attended, it’s because of you lot (WTA members), that we have the WTA!
For those that couldn’t attend, it was AWESOME! 120+ People, including Directors of spares suppliers, work providers, appliance distributers and even an appearence from a ‘Shareholder Director’ of CDSL!
Looking within the room, just showed how far the WTA has gone from 2yrs ago, when no one would give us 2 minutes from their day, to now, attracting guests from some bl00dy big companies!
The WTA is growing, slowly, and finally is now being recognised by most! So on that note, Thankyou members!
Adrian 🙂

…and thanks to all of you council members for putting in so much of your time organising it. It was, as always, a really good day and getting more successful all the time. 🙂

I’ve sat back and watched a lot of this stuff unfold, the WTA peeps getting stuff organised and all of that as well as helping wherever possible as I actually believe that the TA can and, will, get somewhere.
If I didn’t think it would accomplish things I wouldn’t bother with it.
The meeting was great and although it’s a huge PITA to drag me out my cave, I do enjoy them. I enjoy the company, the camaraderie and mostly sensible chat. Mostly sensible or not, don’t be fooled into thinking that there’s any jokers or stupidity about these things or that they are just a “jolly”, they’re not. They do actually get sh1t done.
This is why, as Ade says, it’s a pleasure to see members there taking the time and making the effort to attend these shindigs, it is important. Not only does it show others that there’s more than just a couple of people bumping their gums but it also eggs on the TA people that have to do stuff, the encouragement this gives is vital I think.
Just seeing people, talking and getting feedback whether it’s good or bad shows that the membership actually care, that in itself is a huge shot in the arm at times. It’s not about a ego trip at all, it’s about knowing that what the WTA is all about and is doing will actually make a difference and, as sad as this may be, it encourages the guys that actually have to go out and fight the corner to get out there and do it.
They get fired up because you do.
Strange thing about the WTA as its evolved that, the idiots that managed to get themselves elected to do a heap of work actually function best when the membership give them grief, it spurs them on. And, in spite of that, they take the flack when things are broken.
They really aren’t quite right in the head.
Or are they? 😉
K.
