And the same here….

Best bet for the now is to email John Hopwood, who usually deals with the ISE stuff on jhopwood@iseappliances.co.uk with details of what you cover and where.
Please do it by postcodes as it’s the only way that anyone can map it… 10 miles around a town is no use to man nor beast for area mapping. 😉
There are at least two or three companies looking for engineers to do work. Might not be volume but may well be worth it.

Thing is that I/we keep getting asked and all the time we go on a simple equation that runs thus…
- WTA+ISE = Good and first pick, we have loads of data on the repairers
WTA = Pretty damn good, a bit of data and signed up to the COP, monitored.
repairs@ only = okay, audited once and monitored through complaints, if any.
Everyone else.
So, you can see who gets first bite at the cherry and, I apologise to the non-ISE people but the blunt truth of it is that we have a LOT more info on the people that carry out ISE repairs as well as being WTA members that we have on anyone else, so they tend to be at the forefront. This is not a slight on anyone else whatsoever, it’s just the cold hard fact that we have more to go on.
You also have to bear in mind that many ISE agents/sellers/dealers don’t want contract work, they are deliriously disinterested in it outside of ISE itself.
Then WTA members. They are, so far as I, a couple of clients and ISE are concerned are the next level.
And so on.
As more info is gathered on repairers it becomes much easier to, how can I put this delicately… I really can’t, sort the wheat from the chaff is probably the kindest expression I can use. So, the more work that’s done, the more information that we get and the better stats we get on who’s good an who’s not so good.
This is not an exclusive club however and, if you think for one minute that it’s only ISE or the TA that apply these sorts of analytical processes then you’d be sadly mistaken. All things are considered.
How you deal with customers, how you analyse and repair, how many part you use, how often you call, calls placed to appliances sold, exchange rates, customer satisfaction… it all gets looked at.
I hope you get what I’m telling you here. It’s not bad at all, if you are doing the job correctly regardless of what flag you want to fly.

If you email the details over to John as per above he’ll sort it out.
And, if you mailed him in the past coupe of weeks he may have lost the details because his laptop died, the only thing that I couldn’t recover onto a new one was email… don’t get me started about Microsnot Outpuke and stupid file structures!
