    the zannusi i got in for a customer last week had MADE IN CHINA stamped proudly on the box ,there even boasting about it now 😯

    At the end of the day as long as the punters call us to repair the things & they are actually repairable.. i couldnt give a monkeys where theyre made.. gotta move with the times 😯

    It will come to the point when its cheaper to replace an appliance than pay an engineer to visit.

    Thats maybe gonna improve this year, the Chinese are making noises about letting the Yuan float against other currencies & that might make their products cheap rather than silly cheap :rolls:
    Osborne is likely to raise VAT on tues too.. although that will be a mixed blessing if it happens 😯

    The Past Year Iv When Trying To Price For A Bearing jobs or PCB Jobs With my Regular Customers ALL i get Told is The Price of a new Appliance With Argos & The coop.
    They Start From £149.99 Then £179.00 £199.00.
    The Only Way I can Compete Is With The Delivery And Connection Fee Included In The Price.

    These Days I Carry A Amica On The van Having A to Year Two Warranty Seems To Do the Deal.

    Sold To AWCT12L last Week Totally Sealed Units To no Rear Entry On These Whether They Can be Striped From The Front I Don’T Know.
    All Of my AWP510L 5.5kg Models Went Last Week to :). These have A Rear Entry For A Quick Fix.

    Also Took All OF BDC Stock Bar 1 Of Amica AWCT10L Models From Them Thursday And They Where Delivered on Friday With Nightfreight A Couple Of Hours Later Thats What You Call Service 😉

    So If You Cant Beat Them Why Not Join Them.
