Tut tut tut, you should never open the door to let the steam out, that is part of the drying effect, besides the fact the steam could delaminate the worktop, or damage the worktop if it isnt a laminate

But Doc on the Quick Wash cycle and ONLY on the Quick Wash cycle it doesn’t dry properly otherwise (granny, eggs, sucking and all that!)

On the subject of laminate, that is protected by a purpose made sheet of stainless steel supplied by the manufacturer to fully protect against that otherwise very troublesome effect. (Those fortunate enough to afford a granite or synthetic work top need never worry over that problem) 😉

Well now, here’s the thing…. I have been religiously rinsing the past couple of days and It is not as onerous as I thought it would be. I generally have to run a sinkful of hot water anyway to wash the skillets and the work tops, so the crocks get a quick dunk in there. It only adds a couple of minutes onto the job. In a while I will try and look at the corrugated tube to see how it’s faring and give that a regular clean if it seems necessary. I want this machine to last! I’m awfully chuffed to have it working again and have vowed to spend the half hour it saves me doing a daily yoga session, so in a while I will be fit as well as happy!
