PITW Jim, I’m now using a bog standard untouched by options 15″ MBP Retina and it’s blisteringly fast.
Sudeep uses one with a bit extra drive space and RAM IIRC and there’s not a lot in it in real world use.
I’ve had the odd issue with the screen refresh but, I do use it at a high resolution, not the Retina sized thing that makes it look like a 13″ screen to my eyes, which happens to be bigger than it ought to have any right to be.
All in all though, a very, very good and capable laptop out the box, no need for much more IMO.

Its been ages since I had any time off,
Flying out to Tenerife early Saturday for a week of warm weather, staying at the Royal Garden Villas, Adeje. 8)

Spent the afternoon in Costa Adeje instead, went past several bars with the footy on, saw the score was 2-0 to United but didn’t want to put the mockers on them by watching the second half.
Heard the cheers when City scored the equaliser, it all went quiet in that bar when RVP netted the winner. 8)Just need my favourite scouse team to roll over Spurs and the day will be just perfect. 😀

cannot believe it, was listening to match on radio while doing car stuff at the workshop, got in van to go home, 89 mins 1 nil spurs comfortable for a win, pop in shop for can of stella, come out of shop and we are loosing 2-1 what the hell!
Statistic quoted on R5 earlier in the day “if the standard match length were 80 minutes, spurs would be comfortably on top of the premier league”Re: AWOL
