Participant- Bought an old Bosch Classixx dishwasher second hand which was working. No SPS40C12GB/14 / FD 9308
Only just got around to connecting it and am getting a Check Water signal – it’s a sold light, not flashing.1. Water pressure ok – more than 10 litres per minute
2. No kinks in hose
3. Cleaned and double checked filters in machine and in the hose
The only part I have been unable to check as I can’t see any way to remove it, is the hose at the base which connects to the water tap – photo addedMachine appears to fill with water ok although not much sign of water on top rack but it then drains quite quickly into the bucket (not yet connected to sink).
Spoke to water board about hardness of water and adjusted that
Spoke to Bosch and they said water pressure but definitely not that
I feel I am missing something?August 4, 2024 at 2:35 pm #490927electrofix
Moderatorlook up part no 611317
this counts the water in and they go faulty after a time
you machine built aug 13 so could well be the fault or a bad connection to it

ParticipantThanks for response, Have had a look at the part and it appears that it can be fitted by removing the left panel.
It does seem strange that I have not used it but when bought was working perfectly.
Found this link on Youtube and I can see what should happen but it’s not moving https://youtu.be/vp7nzO-XCwk?si=ocXhCFERuhJxJ8hfAugust 4, 2024 at 3:14 pm #490929electrofix
Moderatorthey can go a bit iffy like works then doesnt try taking side off then remove connector and replace twice. if its a bad connection that will fix it

Participantwhen you say replace twice do you mean take it out, switch on then switch off and take it in and out again? Thank you

Moderatorfind switch
unplug the wire connection and replace then unplug again and replace. your not taking switch out of the frame just unplugging the wireDave

Moderatorfrom memory as i cant find pics
the lid slides back and lifts off. there are 2 plastic clips that have to be unlatched to allow it to move
once the lid is off there are 2 screws at the front of the side then the side unclips and comes off

Moderatorok the fact that the water light is flashing means its not a water problem
the problem on this machine is it could be anything as this unit does not have fault codes for everthing
assume its making no noises when the light flashes as it just aborts the programme

Moderatorok try this
tilt the machine back slowly till it reaches about 45 degrees
what i am hoping is its the anti flood switch and there is water in the base. do it slowly as you dont want the water sloshing about all over things that matter
if you get a puddle on the floor your on the right track
if yes 2 possibilities
1 its having a bad day and wont do it again for a while
2 there is a leak which would have to be found to stop it re-occurring

Moderatorok that means if you change the little board your pulling the plug off it might fix it
pat no 611317 its less then £20 so its up to you if its worth a gamble
