Re: BOSCH CLASSIXX FRIDGE FREEZER – TEMPERATURE LIGHTS FLASH

Hi, I’m a newbie here so I am hoping that replying on this thread is the right thing to do as I have the same fridge freezer and a very similar problem to ChrisX. If not, and someone sees this, please let me know.

In December my fridge freezer temperature lights started to flash in time with a clonking noise. After about 6-10 flashes I could hear the compressor kick in and everything was back to normal. At first it was very occasional, but became more frequent and I found if I opened the freezer door for 30 seconds then closed it things usually went back to normal. Christmas got in the way so I only yesterday looked into this seriously. By now the frequency of this fault had increased to every few hours, I was getting water gathering under the hydrator trays and noticed ice crystals starting to form in the top drawer of the freezer.

I read chrisX’s posts and the replies and have done a full, everything out defrost. I left it over 24 hours and have seen no more than about a teaspoon of water go into the tray above the condenser (and no new water inside fridge). Having cleared that, I saw no more water at all overnight. On plugging in again today, the FF seemed to be gearing up to work, but then the clonking and flashing started again, now for minutes at a time. While that was happening there was no sign of either the fridge or freezer trying to cool or even the fridge fan working. After leaving the door open for a few minutes I have now closed it again and found that things seem to be starting up again but there’s still the occasional off-on lights and clonk (just one now, between “normal sounds”). I take note of bronxboy’s comments and I am wondering if I should allow the FF to defrost for longer?

Any suggestions would be gratefully received ( and I require no explanations of what and why, just what to do 😆 )

    Many thanks

    Lo

Re: BOSCH CLASSIXX FRIDGE FREEZER – TEMPERATURE LIGHTS FLASH

Update: I unplugged again and let the fridge freezer sit at room temperature for another overnight. There has been a not a drip of water come from anywhere, so appears ice buildup is not my problem.

Thinking it must be a PCB problem then, like others. Can anyone advise on this please? Thanks

    Lo
