The Bosch engineer visited again yesterday – his 4th visit.
He replaced both door switches & it still doesn’t work…… He doesn’t know whats wrong with it & has pretty much written the microwave function of the microwave off.
He has replaced the following parts:
Magnatron (the original part was burnt out anyway – he showed me it)
Invertor
Control Module
PC board assembly – mains power
2 x door switches (both sides
I initially paid for the magnatron, invertor & call-out charge. Bosch will fully refund me for these 2 parts + the call-out.
They replaced the other parts free of charge.
I have contacted Bosch Customer Services to ask if they will do a concessional discount on a new combi oven. Also told them I expect a Bosch product to last more than 5 years…..
Overall I can’t complain about their repair service. They have gone out of their way to try & sort the problem. The engineer has spent in excess of 6 hours on this oven.
+ all those extra parts they fitted free of charge. Even if they did get it working again, they still wouldn’t have charged me for these additional parts.
