AH, what we are saying here is this may not be the problem then. If not I am possibly back to square 1.
I no longer use a workmate, or carry it on the van. I use a hydraulic lift, absolutely brilliant for removing built in ovens. You can raise it to the correct height, lower the oven to work in the top and lift it back up again and straight back in the hole (fantastic). However though, I may use it for the Bosch (if I have to).
Thanks for the info Greg.

It gets em to a nice workable level rather than struggling at ground zero 😉

ParticipantTrue, very true. just lean it onto the lift and raise to a respectable level. Nice.

You are the Togmeister, I like the idea of a lift 😀

ParticipantYears ago I thought about a lift, had to be better than using the workmate. I tried and tried to make one, but no use so I gave up on the idea. Now I have a motorcycle (see the avatar), the lift is a motorcycle lift. I have only just received it and I am trialling it out, just to see how effective it is. So far so good, if it proves successful I shall let everyone know on the best tools part.

Hi all,
Well, I returned to this machine today 😕 , I set the programme up, (they said they had left it as it was in a fault condition, but not when I turned it on), as I was saying I set the programme up and it read 147minutes to run :rolls: , so I waited after removing top/both sides/front outer door and plinth assy. During the course of the test I checked the heater microswitch for function, meggerd the heater (before the test to be ok), the wash motor run sweetly also the diverter could be heard switching the water from top to lower spray arm, when I say heard I mean the difference in sound of the water against the cabinet. The machine went into drain at 129 minutes and refilled at 127 minutes, the soap dispenser operated and I checked the heater voltage and the rise in water temp to 50C. At 63 minutes the machine drained and refilled at 57 minutes. The machine carried on rinsing to 54 minutes when it drained and it continued on this drain sequence when the display was at 49 minutes 🙁 . Sorry to go on.
I checked around and noted the wash motor was activated at the same time as the drain pump, but no advancement to fill. If any of you out there in UKW land have knowledge of this problem know the cause and how to rectify please advise.
Gegsy kindly sent me a PDF which was useful 😆 , however the PDF showed a model with 5 buttons and this one has 4. I have noticed this model does not have the usual disc/microswitch pressure switch unit. I assume the level is activated elsewhere, or is electronic timer fed via
the flow meter. I have a sneaky feeling here this may either be a pressure feed problem or an electronic timer fault.I know I have lost out financially in the time dept on this machine today (from 2.15pm to 5.30pm), stupid I know but that is me, stupid!
Your help and comments would be appreciated.

Hi All,
Me again. I would like to thank the previous posts for all the info this is possible on this machine. I can now only assume the problem lies in the electronic timer, possibly a dry joint when the component becomes hot the soldered joint becomes detached etc.
I will be contacting my customer to inform him of this, and I will keep you informed of the outcome.
Many thanks again to you all.

Hi,
You are correct as to the pressure system, it works on a flowmeter to control water level, part number 424099, these are crap and fail for a past time! It is located between the inlet valve and metering tank.
I don’t know if Greg or any of the other folks at UKW have seen this part but I could email a pic of this 🙂
If it is any help…. Is the machine fitted wit the GE Procond board? These seem to suffer with weird faults.

Hi Steve
Yea seen em thanks but put pic up by all means for all to see 😉
Worth noting aswell that when replacing these units that the orientation is critical ie – note original units position and install new one the same. 😀Greg
