    Re: Bosch door interlock prob

Here is a way you can test an interlock . this test is best done in the workshop , and not in the customers premises . You will need a “rapid connector test box” of the type used to test appliances not fitted with a mains plug . Remove the interlock from the machine . and grip it lightly in the vice . now take 2 lengths of wire with covered push on connectors on one end . Using the multimeter , on low ohms scale . test every combination of 2 of the 3 tags untill you detect the internal heater of the interlock .[perm any 2 from 3….] I you cant detect the heater the interlock is knackered anyway . If you can , you then feed mains into these 2 tags , using the 2wires from the test box . Next , using a small insulated screwdriver , operate the slider of the interlock into the locked position . It should latch in this position . Let it sit there for aminute or so . Pull the mains plug out of thwall socket , and acting quickly , use the multimeter on low ohms to test for a loop between the spare [non heater ] tag , and each of the heater tags in turn . If you find this loop , The interlock is ok . If not , its knackered . Rember , even if it passes these tests , another fault may cause the door to fail to lock . For example , on some early Zanussis , a worn escutcheon plate can cause this . Hope this helps someone…..
