That would be great because if that mod does exist to that machine Boro who is a BSH engineer and myself a service agent/partner for BSH; would have known it. We wait with anticipation.

Tried bosch appliance care line and quoted that number, he said that is the same as the board currently for sale on their page, albeit under a different part number, 905070 @ £123.96

That part which is 095070 has as I previously stated has been superceded by 263782 – £99.50+Vat BSH prices. Or try our link below as Im sure our very own Mr Conway can oblige.

That should sort your fault for you.

    All

Sorry to join this thread so late, hopefully there are others that will benefit from this.

9 times out of 10 the E2 code is a fixable fault with the internal thermistor.

You may first want to try switching fridge on/off on the front panel to make sure the fridge valve is opening/closing.

Ensure to isolate the fridge at the mains prior to proceeding with the next stage.

On the back of the unit you should see a large arrow indented in the foam – top right corner. Scratch away about a 2″ circle of foam around the tip of the arrow. You should discover a plastic box attached to the metalwork by 4 bent over clips. Bend the clips out the way and remove the plastic box. You should see/feel condensation in the foam and on/in the thermistor housing – THIS IS WHERE THE PROBLEM LIES!!!
To access the thermistor peel back the tin foil, remove some of the black mastic and remove from box. Dry out the thermistor (and foam), I used a hair drier. It may take a few tries but dont use excessive heat. Let the thermistor dangle in the wind but ensure it’s not touching anything conductive.
Switch the fridge on and if working correctly the thermistor should display room temperature.
Once happy put the thermistor back in the plastic box (it maybe prudent at this stage to seal the box to stop the ingress of water at a later date) and re-attach to fridge.

Apparently there is a two-part epoxy foam available to make good the hole.
I may try something like expanding foam and let you know the outcome.

If engineers are replacing PCBs to overcome this problem they must be bypassing the thermistor. Unless the problem is rectified the fault obviously remains.
