It sounds like you may have a ice build up in the freezer section blocking the duct to the fridge.
If you can, try and defost the freezer and then restart.

I will try the defrost. I can see the front of the condensor from within the freezer; could the back still be frozen?

In a word…yes 🙂 It is best to leave to defrost for a minimum of 24hrs although 48 hrs is better . You can’t see all the ice through the grill in front of the evaporator. Just be aware that there will probably be a lot of defrosted water coming out so have plenty of towels around the base of the appliance .

Defrosted for 24 hrs and drained around at least 1.5 litres of water.
It is working again.

Could there be a problem which causes this? I have used fast freeze sometimes.

Are there any manufacturer modifications which should be done as with other models?
