Lets hope the pump needs changing every six month that will teach Bosch a lesson.

It is a bizzare bit of design that pump arrangment 😯 i think the bean counters have finally run out of ideas on how to make the front loading automatic washing machine any cheaper to produce, and this frankly silly setup looks like grasping at straws.
Cant imagine it saves much on material costs so it must be build time it improves..margins must be tight at BSH :rolls:

The old San Giorgio/Ocean machines used to have a pump mounted like that to spray up into the drum. Never worked – always blocked.

No sump hose now……outlet hose looks as if it is directly off the pump. That’ll surely wear through blowing everything in sight….. :rolls:
Post those pictures in the public forums!! :stir: :innocent:

Thank’s for the tip about spotting the stub door handle. I’ll advise my customers to avoid those in future. 😉

    Made in Poland 😉

Probabley Chinese but could be Polish. Sub £280? I saw that pump on training info 18 months ago but it was not fitted to U.K. appliances at the time. (This is first I’ve seen)
You must understand that it is the Brand in this country that dictates to the factories what appliances/price they must supply.
It may be an attempt to steal from some of the Indesit type market.
My personal recommendation to anyone in the market for a cheaper end Bosch washer would be a WAE type.
There is nothing unreliable about the WAA type, far from it. I just think for a little more money you get a better value with a Bosch WAE24363GB @ £317

Iadom, do you have a model number? I cannot find any WAA’s on the Bosch web site any more. :con:

I did rip the label off the plastic bag with the manual etc in it but the last bit got torn off. 😥

Definitely a WAA24270. My information was that this machine was an exclusive for indies only.

Went to a Bosch WAA28161 GB/07 this had a sealed drum and was manufactured in Oct 2007 to my surprise. Did not realize they had been out that long.

Just bought in a load of WAA24171, they have a acessible filter and a splitable tub.
Cant see the difference between this model and the supposedly better WAE machines to me.
