ParticipantWhen you switch the machine on from the on/off switch, a strange gurgling/vacuum cleaner type noise sounds from the filter area of the machine. If you close the door to start a programme, the LCD display says “sensors ok” and the programme duration decreases as normal but no water enters the machine at all. So don`t understand what is going on.
Ive cleaned all the filters but no joy.Any suggestions?

There is probably water in the base of the machine causing the anti-flood float (aqua-stop system) to operate. You need to remove the water from the base & trace the cause of the leak.

Same problem still as I said in my first post. But if I pull the machine out half way from under the work top and push it back in again. The machine starts working ok with water coming in. This fixes things for about a week before the problem starts again. I have to repeat the above again to get it going for another week.

You should find the source of the leak sometime soon -there are plenty of good posts on this forum with the necessary info to do so.
Unplug-remove lid, side panels and front kick plate-check for water in the base around the drain pump
(you will see the float switch near the lhs door hinge) and the main circulation pump(rhs)
you can tip the machine forward to empty the water. After this to pin the leak down you will have to power the machine up and observe from a safe distance.
If you are not comfortable tackling this then you should perhaps call an engineer…..electricity can kill…..

Thank you for the reply.
Few questions:
1) what could have caused the basin to flood, could it be too much detergent causing excess soap suds?
2) where is the kick panel/plate?
3) is it particulary hard to remove the side panels etc?
4) are boch dishwashers generally reliable? Mine has made in Germany on it and not one of Spanish made ones,

Maybe or overfill or internal leak
2) where is the kick panel/plate?Bottom of the door
3) is it particulary hard to remove the side panels etc?Not really-top comes off first then there are a two screws on each side panel
4) are boch dishwashers generally reliable? Mine has made in Germany on it and not one of Spanish made ones
Yes

I removed the lid, side panels and the front plate below the door. Behind the front plate was a layer of foam like material. I didn’t touch that was too nervous. Looking through the left of the machine with the left panel off, the gap was too small for me to see deep into the machine for any water collected. So I tilted machine forward and pehaps 1-2 mugs worth of water came out on the floor. No sign of a leak but machine is ok. Stupid gurgling sound gone. If it starts again, then I know there a leak.
Hope

Material can be pulled away (sound proofing) sometimes sticks to the
black pitch that coats the tub.It slots into the plastic base along the front-just gently prise it away.Water will generally build up on the matrix side or the main circulation pump
side opposite. If you run a cycle with the sides off and observe from a safe distance the drips will usually reveal themselves….
Good luck!

After few weeks of no problems the problem is back. I can’t identify any leaks. My wife decided to wash the washing machine detergent dispenser inside the dishwasger last night, so not sure did that over foam things but she insists she rinsed the dispenser very well under the tap before put it inside the dishwasher.

[/img]Yesterday, after about 3 weeks the constant pumping started up again, so I tilted the machine and drained the basin. Machine working ok again.
Tonight, I took the side panels off and looked inside the best I could. I can already see some water having collected again. So I presume it only a matter of time before the pump starts to activate again.
Obviously there is a problem but I do not know how to identify it in order to resolv?, hope the pictures help.

Well the pictures show that the pressure chamber and lower
pipe(RHS) are pretty gunged up and could do with a clean.See
http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/modules.p … ic&t=44514
The matrix itself looks OK and doesnt show any leaks at the seals.
You may have an overfill problem due to flow restriction through
the pressure chamber or a leak on the lower pipe as it goes into the sump.
Have you checked out the other side of the machine?A common place to leak is the main motor seal into the sump, you will see the water drips forming a pool below the main motor.
Observe from a safe distance.

Thanks for the reply:
The ribbed pipe just to the right of the red switch, is that where I need to disconnect from in order to clean it? Do I just clean the opening of the pipe or do I need to clean deep inside the pipe?
How do I access the ribbed pipe? I took off the bottom pannel below the door. Which revealed a silver panel with 2 screws, undid the screws and pulled the silver panel forward but it has wires connected to it from the back. I was too scared to pull it forward any further in case I damaged wires. Seems like to access the ribbed pipe, you have to get behind this silver panel but don’t know how?
How would u get at the pressure chamber to clean that? Do u get at it with the ribbed pipe disconnected? Or do you get at it from above? Is it possible to clean out the whole chamber? Or just the opening of it with the ribbed pipe out the way?
What has caused the gunning up?
Thank you.

remove pipe-pull out from pressure chamber and sump
easier if you tilt machine backwards against a wall then remove the metal
plate-the wiring guard is clipped along the edge and will stop it coming away completley-you need to ease the plastic away from the metal.you need to remove the matrix-you should see the two retaining bars and the plastic corners which need to come away.
Matrix can then be lifted away completely if you want to remove the
pipes on the left or just left to the side.
Pressure chamber can be then pulled away from the plastic supports in the base(ease lugs with screwdriver).
you then dissassemble

Thanks for that,
Removing the matrix and pressure chamber, is it particularly hard? And would it take long to do?
