Participant9 wires broken/bared in this FD7305 dishwasher. Is the loom Bosch 272168/Hotpoint still available? Or is it wire by wire replacement?
Regards

Yep 272168 is the part number for the harness complete.

You could always use ferrels to repair broken wires and re-tape the loom 😉

Sorry my spelling ferrules

Will need a crimp tool but much cheaper and easier that a loom change IMHO

dont know Gregg, for safetys sake would always go for the loom option if more than one or 2 wires broken. The rest are bound to go soon anyway.

Done loads, as long as you make sure that the ferrule is away from the pivot, even if that means adding some extra suitable wire.
After we all after 1st time fix right 😀Greg

Ferrules, is that a Welsh name, most folks I know call them butt connectors.
Google seems to think the same way as well, try “Ferrules” then try “Butt connectors”. 😉

Surely you splice in a new section of wire and join it above and below the pivot point?

Fine for the odd wire but when they are all showing signs of failing its just not worth it….IMO.
plus a lot of us had bad experiences with Zanussi ones some years back and I kind of like to sleep at nights.January 1, 2008 at 9:09 pm #238073superfix

You’ll probably find that it will be a universal loom anyway.
Which will come with Gegsy’s ferrules attached 😆

Think i will try the loom option tomorrow from BSH. If one or two wires were broken then ferrules/butts it would be. Would like to do the proper repair on this one with so many gone.
Thank you for the helpful and amusing comments.
