Yes, if the non-return valve (165262) in the pump outlet chamber has been removed or perished. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Would be unlikely to do so on a consistent basis, I would think unless someone moved the position of the hose inadvertently at some point before they called you in.

    Oops, hadn’t seen Martin’s reply.

This might sound stupid.. but are you sure the water supply valve is working … that there is actually water getting to the inlet valve.

Remember that the check water light may come on if there is a drain problem

Just to let you all know put new float chamber on and problem solved and cleaned hose from there to sump as a precaution as it was slightly gunked up. Many thanks for all your replies though they were greatly appreciated
Couple of things there to be thinking about. Seems to me that if the machine either is not or “thinks” it is not fully drained, then it will not start to fill. The red float thingummyjig in the fill matrix, or its attendant microswitch or something around that area could be sticking even if it looks all clean.

Re: Bosch SRS43C22GB/04 – Check Water light

My customers m/c is now in my workshop and has worked fine on numerous washes.
I have the hose lying on the floor and the m/c raised to try and simulate his installation and get it siphoning but it still works fine (I suppose I should be happy about this!!)
As I replaced the impeller jug on first visit with no joy I can only assume that there was a blockage on the the float chamber or the fill matrix or something that shifted on transporting it to mine (although look clean), either that or it’s a water pressure problem or external drain problem at his house.
Either way, I’ve found nothing solid to blame the fix on.

I just hope it works when I bring it back……

Re: Bosch SRS43C22GB/04 – Check Water light

Ive Checked the microswitch etc – All fine. Ive identified the cicking to the diverter valve on the heater, Also ive found something a bit strange – the bit of wiring loom that connects the divertor the circ pump and the mircroswitch appears to be down to earth, when i do an insulation Res Test from the small tag for the circ pump to earth it reads 0.08 (even with Circ Pump, Divertor and mircoswitch disconnected but when i disconnect the connector from that part of the pcb the reading comes right up fine. Any ideas?
Im going to give up on this one soon. LOL!
